Through her paintings Kristia invites each viewer to connect with their own personal experiences and reflections of remembrance as well as searches from the past with a beacon of the present in a vague horizon of thought. It looks beyond the obvious and seeks careful observation from viewers. The challenge is for viewers to create bridges with the past by calling to the surface of their minds their personal memories.

Kristia Andreou is a painter of Cypriot and Bulgarian origin. She was born in Nicosia on February 19, 1994. She studied at the Cyprus Academy of Fine Arts in Limassol (2008-2010), obtaining the GCE in Fine Art. In 2012 she studied academic painting at the Bulgarian Academy of Fine Arts in Sofia. In 2016 she obtained a BA in Fine Arts from the University of the West of England in Bristol. Further, she obtained a Master degree of Fine Arts from Frederick University in Nicosia in a program based on Contemporary Art Practices (2016-2018).
